Update 2.27.26: We are currently have a position open for part or full-time laboratory technician, beginning approximately June 2026. Key responsibilities including: (i) making Drosophila food, (ii) maintaining Drosophila stocks, (iii) handling orders and record keeping, and (iv) assisting with experiments. No previous Drosophila experience is necessary, but applicants must be comfortable with physical labor and excel at communication, following directions, and staying on task. Undergraduate Research: We are always interested in recruiting highly motivated undergraduate researchers to work in the lab. Please note the following requirements:
Must be able to commit to at least 8-10 hours per week, with a minimum of two hour blocks during normal working hours (8am-6pm).
The nature of our research requires some periods of coming in on weekends, usually not more than 1-2 hours on Saturday or Sunday (alternating).
Due to the extensive training required for new students to be able to meaningfully contribute, we typically require at minimum a 1.5 year commitment (thus rarely take seniors or advanced juniors).
